The Sixth Kalima Radde Kufr is the last Kalima of Islam, following the First, Second, Third, Fourth, and Fifth Kalima. A believer seeks shelter from Allah in Kalima Radde Kufr. He also despises and condemns skepticism and adultery. He confesses and acknowledges Allah’s oneness and abstains from lying, backbiting, and other big and small faults.

What is 6th kalma Radde kufr?

The sixth kalima is also known as Radde kufr or Radde-e-kuffer, which means refusing or disbelieving speech.

The essential Islamic notion of kufr is taught in this Kalima. This is a big issue in and of itself, but in general, kufr refers to not believing in or rejecting the faith, i.e. being a non-believer.

Kufr means “to hide” or “to conceal,” hence a kuffar is someone who rejects and conceals the truth. The truth is tawheed, which states that Allah is the one and only God, that there is no other God than Allah, and that Prophet Muhammad ( ) is Allah’s messenger.

Translation in English:

“O Allah! Certainly I seek protection with You from, that I associate partner with You anything and I know it. And I seek forgiveness from You for that I do not know it. I repented from it and I made myself free from disbelief and polytheism and the falsehood and the back-biting and the innovation and the tell-tales and the bad deeds and the blame and the disobedience, all of them. And I submit and I say (there is) none worthy of worship except Allah, Muhammad is the Messenger of ALLAH.”

Translation In Urdu:

Concept of 6th kalima:

The essential Islamic concept of kufr is taught in this Kalma.

Forms of Kufr:

There are several forms of Kufr that we must be cautious of:

  • Denial and Rejection — heartfelt disbelief A rejection from the outside.
  • Turning aside in arrogance — Iblees is the finest illustration of which.

“They (hypocrites) say: ‘We have believed in Allah and in the Messenger, and we obey; then a party of them turns away, and such are not believers,”

(Surah Al-Noor ayah 47)

  • The Kufr of hypocrisy — people who appear to be believers on the surface but just do so for show and to express virtue. They may claim to believe in Allah and the Last Day, and their deeds may reflect this, but their hearts do not.
  • Kufr of doubt — a lack of certainty or reluctance. This is comparable to agnosticism, or the belief that one does not know. A person who professes neither belief in God nor disbelieves in it.

What Quran says about “Kufr”?

All of these forms of Kufr are mentioned in The Holy Quran in various passages. Here are a few examples:

“However, while they know the truth, a group of them conceals it.”

(Ayah 146 of Surah Al-Baqarah)

“… with the exception of Iblees (Satan), who rejected and was haughty, and was one of the disbelievers (disobedient to Allaah)”

(Ayah 34 of Surah Al-Baqarah)

“And they betrayed them (those Ayat) in an unjust and arrogant manner, despite their own convictions.”

(Ayah 14 of Surah Al-Naml)

Those who are aware of the perils of Kufr and desire to safeguard themselves from shirk should memorise and recite the sixth Kalma (associating others alongside Allah).

Benefits of 6th kalima in light of Ahadees

To claim that someone is a kufr is a serious accusation, Sahih Bukhari hadith 6103 highlights this. Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said,

“If a man says to his brother, O Kafir (disbeliever)!’ Then surely one of them is such (i.e., a Kafir). “

And in Sahih hadith in Sunan An-Nasa’i 4113 it says,

It was narrated that ‘Abdullah said:

“Fighting a believer is Kufr and defaming him is evildoing.”

Committing shirk is a tremendous wrong, in the Sahih hadith 3067 from Jami At Tirmidhi Vol. 5 it was Narrated ‘Abdullah:

“When (the following) was revealed: It is those who believe and confuse not their belief with Zulm (wrong) (6:82) – That bothered some Muslims, so they said: ‘O Messenger of Allah! Which of us has not wronged himself?’ He said: ‘It is not that, it is only Shirk, have you not heard what Luqman said to his son: O my son! Do not commit Shirk with Allah. Verily Shirk is a tremendous Zulm (wrong) (31:13).’”

From this, we see the seriousness of kufr. It is the exact opposite of having a strong Iman (faith) which is necessary for a believing Muslim.

Allah says, in Surah Baqarah Ayah 153, ya ayyuhallazina amanu ta’eenoo bissabri was Salaah; innal laaha ma’as-saabireen

“O you who have believed, seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, Allah is with the patient.”

How 6th Kalima Radde Kufr is important in the life of a Muslim?

The word “Kufr” literally means “to hide.” A disbeliever is attacked in Kalima Radde Kufr for concealing the truth about Allah, His oneness, and sovereignty. This Kalima teaches us about the crucial notion of unbelief in Islam, which is a big subject in and of itself. It helps a Muslim to have a firm belief in Allah and Islam as his faith. Furthermore, the 6th Kalima pledges a believer to refrain from all big and little faults, including backbiting, harmful inventions, tale-telling, and so on.

Conclusion

To summarise, to conclude the concept of faith, and to guarantee his world and hereafter, a Muslim must implement and preach all Six Kalimas of Islam, since these Six Kalimas are the fundamentals of Islam, which every believer must recite on a daily basis. Reciting the sixth kalima can be something we can do deliberately to show Allah how we feel and to keep us safe from kufr. May Allah increase us in faith and make us among those who are guided. Ameen. May Allah grant us patience and give us the strength and fortitude to stay resilient in the face of adversity.
