Sūrat Ghāfir, also known as Sūrah Al-Muʼmin, is the 40th sura of the Qur’an. It has 85 ayaat and is a Makki Surah. The title Ghafir derives from the third Verse, where God Almighty mentions Himself as the One Who Forgives Sin (Ghafir al-dhanb). As another title, Mu’min refers to the person who was at the service of Pharaoh and concealed his faith to support Moses.

As Surah Al-Mumin has lots of benefits providing protection all over the day, forgiveness of sins helps to increase value and is also very helpful to cure diseases.

Benefits of Reciting Surah Al-Mumin

Here are some of the benefits of surah Mumin.

Recite in the morning And Evening

In the morning and evening, the Messenger of Allah commanded us to recite the Quran.

Al-Marifah narrates Muhammad bin Ibrahim bin Harith At-Tamimi’s father to Ibn Sunni, Ibn Mandah, and Abu Naeem

Then did you think that We created you uselessly and that you would not be returned to us?” (23:115)

As a result of reciting it, we remained safe and gained booty. There is no better guide than Allah. (Dur al-Manthur)

Protection all Over the Day

A person who recites them in the morning is protected until the evening. Narrated by the Prophet,

A person who recites all of Surah Ad-Dukhan, as well as the beginning of Ha Mim Al-Mu’min (Surah Ghafir), until the verses Ilayhil Maseer (40:3) and Aayatul Kursi (2:255), in the evening is protected until the morning, while a person who recites them in the morning is protected until the evening. (At-Targhib wat-Tarhib 390)

Judgment Day Gift

Whosoever desires to walk around Paradise’s meadows should recite these surahs.

Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alayhi wasalam) said

Chapters beginning with Ha-Meem* are beautiful, fresh, fragrant, splendid meadows. Whosoever desires to walk around Paradise’s meadows should recite these surahs.

[Surahs with Ha-Meem at the start. It includes seven Surahs 40-46, i.e., Ghafir or Al-Mumin (40), Fussilat or Ha-Meem (41), Ash-Shura (42), Az-Zukhruf (43), Ad-Dukhan (44), Al-Jathiyah (45), Al-Ahqaf (46)] (Al-Tadhkar Fi Afdal Al-Adhkar by Imam al-Qurtubi)

Forgiveness of Sins

Those who recite Surah Ghafir every night will be forgiven for their past and future sins, granted purity of heart and will receive in the hereafter more rewards than they have received in this life.

Helps to Increase Sale

If Surah Ghafir taweez is hung on a wall in an orchard, there will be a significant increase in yields; similarly, if hung in a shop or business location, sales will increase dramatically.

To Cure Heart Disease

To cure heart trouble, liver or spleen pain, write this surah on a china plate, wash it, knead fine flour with it, dry it like biscuits, grind it, and give it to the patient.

Importance of Surah Al-Mumin

The main purpose of this surah is to remind the people of their origin, the reason for their creation, and the ultimate truth, which is the life hereafter, which will continue forever. The ultimate end of life reminds us to adopt the path toward success, which is the path of righteousness and divine success.
