The Shab e Barat blessed night is near, and Muslims are eager for Shab e Barat Nawafil. Shab e Barat is an Islamic festival that takes place on the 15th night of the Islamic calendar month of Shaaban, which is the eighth month. In the Arb world, this night is referred to as Laylatul Baraah or Layaltun Nisfe min Shaban, while in India and Pakistan, it is referred to as Shab e Barat. This month was dubbed “My Month” by the Holy Prophet SAWW, and it was during this month that our Holy Prophet SAWW fasted more than any other month except Ramadan.
Shab e Barat Nawafil / Namaz

Shab e Barat ke Nawafil ka Tarika
Every nawafil has their own way to be offered. So in this content, you will be able to learn how you can done with the nawafil for the night of forgiveness.
- In the six rakats nawafil, there are three different rewards. To get these rewards, one must have to offer 6 rakats, and at the end of every 2 rakats, recite Surah Yaseen for one time, or you can recite Surah Ikhlaas for twenty one times. After that, read “Dua for Nisf Shabaan”. first two rakats will be for lengthening of life, the next two will be for prevention from troubles and the last two will be for gaining prosperity.
- If a person wants to get forgiveness of his sins from Allah, he must have to offer ten rakats of nawafil in such a way that after Surah Fatiha recite Surah Ikhlaas for eleven times in each rakat. And after the completion of ten rakats, pray for forgiveness and blessings from Allah.
- On this night of forgiveness, make niyyat for two rakat nafil. After Surah Fatiha, read Ayat-ul-kursi for one time and Surah Ikhlaas for fifteen times. Then after salaam, read Darood e Pak for Hundred times and pray for plenty of wealth.
Shab e Barat Nawafil after Maghrib
You can offer six Nawafil between Maghrib and Isha for which two are for the long living, 2 for stay refrain from evils, and 2 are for not being helpless to others.
Shab e Barat Nawafil After Isha
After the namaz of Isha, Salat ul Khair can be performed. Procedure for this nafil namaz is to offer hundred rakats with ten times Surah Ikhlaas after Surah Fatiha in every rakat. The purpose of offering these nawafil is to gain Goodness.
You can also perform fourteen rakats nawafil with seven salaam. Read Surah Kafiroon, Surah Ikhlaas, Surah Naas, Surah Falaq each after Surah Fatiha in each rakat. After each salaam read Ayat-ul-Kursi one time and the last ayaats of Surah Toba. These nawafil are for assurance of Dua acceptance.
Shab e Barat Nawafil for Hajat
Salatul Hajat is simply 2 rakat of Nafil Namaz and nothing else no special Dua no special Surah. After praying 2 rakat Nafil Sit Calmly recite Darood e Ibrahim, and ask Allah Whatever you want following Asma e Azam and then at the end of Dua repeat Darood e Ibrahim.
Shab e Barat Nafal ke Niyat ka Tarika
“Niyyat kerta hun main (jitni rakat ap parhna chateh han, for instance; niyyat krta/krti hun me 2 rakat) rakat namaz nafil, waaste Allah Pak ke, muh mera ka’bah shareef ki taraf, bandagi Allah ki”
“I pray two Rakats (or as many required for that time) Nafil for the sake of Allah Pak Face towards Ka’bah shareef”
Salaatul Tasbeeh
Salaatul Tasbeeh is also a highly noble conduct if performed on Shab e Barat.
To offer salaatul tasbeeh, make niyyat for four Rakats Nafil and start performing the namaz like normal prayers. After Surah Fatiha, recite any Surah and then read “Subhaan Allahi Wal Hamadulillahi wa Laa Illaha Illal Laahu Wallahu Akbar” for ten times.
Then in rakoo after ”Subhana rabbi al azeem” read “Subhaan Allahi Wal Hamadulillahi wa Laa Illaha Illal Laahu Wallahu Akbar” for ten times.
After rakoo, in qayyam (standing position after Ruku) after “Rabbana lakal hamd” recite tasbeeh “Subhaan Allahi Wal Hamadulillahi wa Laa Illaha Illal Laahu Wallahu Akbar” for ten times.
Then in sajda, after “Subhaana rabbi al aala” read “Subhaan Allahi Wal Hamadulillahi wa Laa Illaha Illal Laahu Wallahu Akbar” for ten times.
And then in qayyab between two sajda, recite this tasbeeh “Subhaan Allahi Wal Hamadulillahi wa Laa Illaha Illal Laahu Wallahu Akbar” for ten times.
And same like first sajdah, do the second sajdah and recite “Subhaan Allahi Wal Hamadulillahi wa Laa Illaha Illal Laahu Wallahu Akbar” for ten times.
In this way this tasbeeh will count for 75 times in one rakat. Do the same in all four rakats and the total of tasbeeh will be 300 times.
