So if you can, do not let -yourselves be overpowered in case of prayer observed before the rising of the sun and its setting, i. e. the ‘fajr prayer and the after Asr prayer. Jarir then recited it:

And exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before its setting.” (Ta-Ha 20:130).  [Sahih Muslim 633 a].

The Occasion of a Few Verses Being Revealed

Surah Taha has a special revelation occasion in the first few verses and verse 131. In which Allah consoled the Holy Prophet as well as instructed him to be moderate in his prayers.

Acts of Worship Should Be Moderated

According to narrations, once the revelation and the Quran descended on the Prophet, his holiness worshipped Allah vigorously and used to stand in prayer for so long that his feet swelled.

As a result, the Prophet received the first few verses of surah Taha, which instructed him not to trouble himself with rituals of worship and to be moderate in his prayer and supplication.

Verse To Console The Prophet

Surah Taha verse 131 reads:

Do not extend your glance toward what We have provided certain groups of them as a glitter of the life of this world, so that We may test them thereby. The provision of your Lord is better and more lasting”.

According to the servant of the Noble Prophet Abu Rafi’, a guest came for the Prophet one day, which was the reason for the revelation of the previously stated verse. His Holiness instructed his servant to obtain flour on credit from a Jew to prepare dinner. The Prophet promised to give him the money in the month of Rajab.

The Jew, on the other hand, stated that if he wants wheat, he must leave something as assurance. When the Prophet heard this, he said he would have given him gold if he had given him bread instead of this shirt or armor. And the following ayat was revealed to the Prophet after this tragedy, consoling and comforting him.

Final Words

Surah Taha is the Quran’s twentieth surah, delivered to the Noble Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) in Mecca by Allah. It is named surah Taha because it begins with the disjointed letters ta and ha. According to exegetes, Taha is also one of Prophet Muhammad’s titles because just after it, Allah speaks directly to the Prophet, telling him that He did not reveal the Quran to worry him. The story of Prophet Moses is told in Surah Taha, followed by the story of Adam and Eve. On the Day of Qiyamah, whoever recites surah Taha will obtain the recompense of all the Muhajirun and Ansar, according to the Prophet.
