Surah Al-Jinn

This Surah appears in the 72nd chapter of the Quran. In total, it contains 28 verses. There are two rukus between these verses. The Surah contains 201 unique words without repetition. The revelation of this Surah occurred sometime between 615 and 620 AD in Mecca and it’s a Makki surah in quran. It was most likely revealed during the first few years after Muhammad declared himself a prophet.

Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanvi (رحمه الله‎) writes

It is recommended that someone who is under the influence of an evil spirit recite the 33 Aayat al Hirz upon him to cure him. (Remedies from the Quran p95)

Reward on the Day of Judgement

The reciter of Surah Jinn will be with Prophet Muhammad SAW. According to In a Hadith, Imam Jaffar Sadiq (“Radhi Allahu’ anhu”) narrated that,
